Over three years in the past, Versova seaside in Mumbai was little greater than a dumping floor for rubbish and waste. After witnessing the devastating influence the refuse was having on the ocean, Afroz Shah determined to take issues into his personal arms. What began off as a single man’s mission to scrub up his favourite childhood seaside become the world’s largest seaside cleanup initiative. As of as we speak, Shah and a whole bunch of volunteers have cleaned up over 9 million kilograms of plastic and waste, with hopes to develop their initiative to different seashores sooner or later.
